Description

Specialist planning HLS technology, according to part 4, section 2, HOAI; plant groups (1), (2), (3) and (8) according to ยง 53 para. 2 HOAI for the extension at the comprehensive school Ebsdorfergrund, Heskem.the comprehensive school Ebsdorfergrund is to receive new areas for the 5th and 6th grade support classes in the form of clusters through a rear and extension building.

The Schuster building currently houses 9 classrooms, 4 specialist classrooms, 1 teaching materials room and, in the basement, the technical areas for the drinking water supply and the location of the inverters for the photovoltaic system.
A fundamental part of the extension measure is the redesign of the learning spaces for the six-stream special school wing in the form of clusters.
The second main component of the extension to be planned is the accommodation of a school canteen with food service for 200 people per shift. The kitchen area required for this is to be designed as a fully equipped kitchen. The food will not only be served there, but also produced.
When designing the concept, attention must be paid to structural implementation during ongoing operations. There are no plans to completely relocate the school in order to free up space for construction.
The school complex is currently supplied by local heating and an oil condensing boiler (redundancy). A mechanical ventilation system must be planned in accordance with legal requirements.
The workrooms should be naturally lit and ventilated in accordance with health and safety guidelines. The lighting systems must be planned in accordance with the "Guidelines for interior lighting with artificial light in public buildings" and the "Lighting of workplaces with display screen equipment in public buildings" (published by AMEV).
Barrier-free construction is a mandatory quality requirement for educational facilities. Special attention must therefore be paid to it. The different user requirements in terms of motor, sensory or cognitive needs should be taken into account. People with mobility and sensory impairments should be able to access all areas, both externally and internally, on an equal footing.
In the one-phase, non-open design competition, a competition entry created in accordance with the specifications of the competition brief was awarded a prize by the jury. The competition plans of the winning bidder are attached to these procedural documents for information purposes as the basis of this procedure and the further planning steps.
To date, no specifications have been made regarding centralized/decentralized systems (ventilation technology, water and heat supply). At the start of planning, these points are to be worked out by the specialist planning department for HVAC technology with input from the planning participants. Appropriate technical building services concepts tailored to the location must be developed.
In principle, the different pedagogical room concepts (clusters or open learning areas) must be taken into account when planning the system technology and interference with the different forms of teaching, e.g. through sound transmission and air flow behavior, must be avoided. User-friendly systems should be planned for the heat supply and water and wastewater systems, e.g. waterless urinals and a supply network for rainwater use in the toilets.
