Description

US retailer (with approximately 400 stores) recently rolled out a programme in which chosen brands get 90 days in 'Innovation Centre', aisles where shoppers discover new, on-trend products. Brands successful after 90 days receive permanent on-shelf placement in regular aisles.

Retailer preferences for suppliers include the following:

- early-to-medium stage exporter: supplier should have Food and Drug Administration (FDA) accreditation, but supplier is not required to have exported to the US yet
- snacking category
- shelf-stable
- innovative, up and coming or trend-setting product

Products containing bio-engineered ingredients will not be accepted.
