Description
Through award of Weight Handling Equipment Multiple Award Contract (WHEMAC), the Government seeks to fulfill varying weight handling equipment requirements of the Navy, Marine Corp, and other federal activities worldwide in accordance with the terms and conditions of this solicitation. Projects covered under the WHEMAC may include the procurement of the new equipment (and associated designs) or may cover reconstitution/overhaul of existing equipment. This acquisition will result in the award of up to ten (10) Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts. The Offeror submitting the proposal that is considered to represent the best value to the government (i.e., the firm ranked number one overall) will receive award of an IDIQ contract and award of a delivery order covering the seed project. Up to nine (9) additional IDIQ contracts may be awarded to Offeror(s) whose proposals are also advantageous to the government, based upon the stated evaluation criteria. Award of the seed project and IDIQ contract(s) will be based on source selection criteria, as contained in Section M of the solicitation.
