Description
This contract covers site preparation work for the new Lachine waterfront park.
Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the work covered by this contract is as follows:
- deconstruction of the entrance gatehouse, hangar, pool, pool house, admiralty building and refueling station;
- off-site removal and disposal of the gatehouse and admiralty wastewater collection systems;
- removal, transportation and disposal of underground fuel tanks, fuel dispensers, components and piping;
- supply, installation, connection and commissioning of the electrical cabinet to maintain power to the Captain's Office building;
- construction of the proposed duct banks for the electrical and telecommunications work;
- removal, transport and disposal of the water measuring station;
- removal, transportation and disposal of protective bollards, illuminated street bollards, transformers, valves and hydrants;
- removal, transport and disposal of the navigation beacon;
- electrical work to maintain service at the Harbour Master's Office building;
- coordination with Bell for telecommunications work;
- site preparation;
- earthworks, cuttings and backfill;
- site restoration;
- management of hazardous materials, water and contaminated soil.
