A contract will be concluded with every service provider who fulfills the participation requirements. There is no exclusivity. Membership or the conclusion of a contract can take place at any time and under the same conditions. Individual contract negotiations are not conducted. The earliest contract start date is 01.01.2024. After this date, you can join the contract at any time if you meet the participation requirements. All valid contracts end automatically on 31.12.2026. The latest date for joining the contract is 30.06.2026. The aim of the selective contract is to achieve early diagnosis and the possibility of intervention after the first symptoms appear and, if the diagnosis is confirmed, to achieve the maximum reduction in disease activity and the best possible prognosis for quality of life in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee or hip. This ensures that surgical treatment measures are only initiated once the options for conservative treatment have been fully exhausted. Coordinated, quality-assured care, in which the orthopaedist or surgeon works closely with the family doctor to coordinate the treatment of patients affected by osteoarthritis of the knee or hip and supports the implementation of the treatment plan close to home, can both significantly improve the quality of life of affected patients and make economical use of resources. Patients with osteoarthritis who are well informed about their condition worry less, tolerate existing symptoms better and develop effective methods of coping with the disease. This publication does not constitute the award of a public contract within the meaning of Directive 2014/24/EU or public procurement law. In order to ensure the greatest possible degree of transparency for the intended contract conclusions, the publication is made in the Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union. The resulting conceptual specifications, such as the procedure description "open procedure" or the information under Section IV.2.2) "Closing date for receipt of tenders" or Section IV.2.7) "Conditions for the opening of tenders" are solely due to the use of this contract notice form and the publication platform. This does not imply any further significance, in particular submission to public procurement regulations, unless they are mandatory for legal reasons.
