Description

New construction of integrated comprehensive school (IGS) and elementary school (GS) for Bierstadt-Nord, Wiesbaden, structural design services / LPH 1-6, 8
1. key data / figures:site area: approx. 36,000 m²new building IGS and GS: GFA approx. 12,000 m²new building 3-field sports hall: GFA approx. 2,222 m²2. Initial situation: The state capital Wiesbaden (LHW) has been commissioned in the update of the school development plan to build a new school location for a 4-unit integrated comprehensive school (IGS) and a 2-unit elementary school in connection with the new development area 'Wiesbaden-Bierstadt Nord' on a joint school campus. A 3-field sports hall completes the school ensemble. WiBau is to plan, build and manage this on behalf of LHW.As the school is a new foundation, the pedagogical concept was developed by a steering group of the state education authority, school administrators and teachers from various Wiesbaden IGS as well as the school authority. Following the current pedagogical guiding idea, the pupils (SuS) are to be taught in learning houses. The school building, made of a modular wooden construction, connects two schools under one roof and interweaves with the landscape with a ribbon-like structure. The individual learning houses of the schools can be easily read.Instead of high-tech, a low-tech architecture is aimed at through an intelligent floor plan design with cross-ventilation possibilities in combination with inner courtyards, green facades, skylights and shading elements. The sports hall forms the northern end of the school campus.3. task definition:For the new school and sports hall building, timber construction is the intended construction method. With simple and logical construction principles and additive construction of the wooden structure, a varied design and pleasant atmosphere of the material wood should be achieved. The ecological advantages of the CO2-neutral building material should fully meet the requirements of a sustainable building concept. The upper floors of the central school building are to be designed as a 2-storey timber frame building with timber-concrete composite ceilings as a modular timber construction. The entire building is structured in both directions over a grid of 1.25 m in order to be suitable for an element-based and prefabricated construction method. The first floor level is to be constructed in conventional reinforced concrete to accommodate the wide spans of the structure dictated by its use. The use of recycled concrete is to be investigated in the design process. The bracing of the timber skeleton construction is to be provided by the four necessary staircases made of reinforced concrete. In the case of the 3-field sports hall, a load-bearing truss construction over a span of approx. 28 m is to form the roof supporting structure.3.1 General information:Sustainability and climate neutrality:In the summer of 2019, the state capital declared a climate emergency and in future will place all decisions of the city and its companies under the climate protection proviso. This means that all climate-relevant plans, projects and processes are to be identified, evaluated in terms of their climate impact and examined with a view to their contribution to achieving climate protection goals. In the process, more climate-friendly alternatives must be developed and weighed up. This results in necessities and requirements in the implementation of future construction projects. These include, for example Climate adaptation through green roofs and facades,- As little sealing of surfaces as possible,- Rain recovery via cisterns,- Considering the issue of "gray energy" in questions of possible demolition work,- Self-sufficiency through the use of intelligent energy systems / renewable energies,- Use of natural materials to protect health,- Environmental compatibility by avoiding hazardous waste and striving for genuine recyclingTargets for a new building should be:- Plus energy balance (produce more energy than consume)Goals for a refurbishment should be:- Climate neutrality (depending on site conditions)4. Subject of the service to be commissioned:Specialist planning services in accordance with HOAI 2013, version 2021, Part 4, Section 1, §§ 49-52 - LPH 1-6.In addition, the special services in accordance with Annex 14.1 to § 51 Para. 5:LPH 4: - Verification of structural fire protection, where necessary taking into account the temperature (hot design)- Verification of the fire resistance of load-bearing components.LPH 8: - Construction schedule for the control of the execution of the structure on conformity with the examined static documents incl. date documentation (no acceptance in the sense of the achievements of the test structural engineer). The basic services of the work phases 1 - 6 will be remunerated on the basis of the HOAI 2013, version 2021.
