Description

The Department of National Defence (DND) currently operates a national ground transportation distribution network in support of its Defence Supply Chain activities. In an effort to gain efficiencies and lighten administrative overhead for all parties, DND is seeking to consolidate some of its routine distribution runs by establishing dedicated commercial distribution support along two routes as part of its daily operations. Firstly, DND is looking to establish a twice-weekly round-trip run between its Canadian Forces Supply Depots (CFSDs) at Montreal, QC and Edmonton, AB and secondly, to establish a weekly round-trip run between its bases/stations at Canadian Forces Base Halifax, NS and Canadian Forces Station St. John’s, NL. Further details are outlined in the Request for Proposal documents. The estimated contract period will be 6 months, with a proposed start date of 2024/10/01, with 2 one (1) year option periods.
