Description

The House of Photography (South Hall) in the Deichtorhallen Hamburg is undergoing fundamental renovation and conversion. As part of the construction project, the listed Deichtorhalle Süd and the adjoining former market cellar are to be converted. The building extends over 2 floors (ground floor and first floor) plus the basement, which is to be extended on the west side by parts of the old market cellar (last partial use underground parking garage). The existing sanitary installations in the building have been dismantled, only the drinking water connection and some waste water pipes through the outer wall to the north are still in place. As part of the construction project, a completely new drinking water and waste water installation is to be installed in the building. As far as possible, the outside area is to be connected to the existing system. A commercial kitchen is planned for the ground floor, with cold storage and preparation facilities in the basement.
