GMH | Gebäudemanagement Hamburg GmbH is a municipal company that provides construction, operation and management services for over 50 general education schools in the south of Hamburg (Wilhelmsburg and Harburg) as well as for university and municipal buildings.

Built between 1929 and 1932, the school on the Veddel, a five-storey, listed U-shaped brick building, is undergoing extensive refurbishment. The work includes updating the fire protection, renewing the technical systems, remediating pollutants and installing a new elevator. The building will also be partially restructured and converted.
