This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the City of St. Albert (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Oakmont Trail and Pedestrian Bridge - Construction, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). The work to be undertaken is generally described as: Oakmont Trail, Boardwalk, and Pedestrian Bridge - Construction in the City of St. Albert and includes, but not limited to: Removals and Site Preparation, Clearing and GrubbingEnvironmental ManagementTree stand clearing: Tree removals c/w stumping, clearing, and grubbingSelective planting removalsCommon Excavation - Cut and Fill Grading of on-site Material (Planting beds, sodded and seeded areas, concrete pads, and trail)Imported Compactable FillSupply and install 3.0m multi-use trail, including 150mm depth subgrade preparation to 100% SPD, 200mm granular base to 100% SPD, 75mm of 10mm-LT SGC asphalt and 100mm solid painted centerlineSupply and install boardwalk and stairs including Helical Piles, Timber Boardwalk, Timber Stairs, Backfill - Des 2 Class 25, Non-Degradeable Erosion Control Mat, and Staked Straw RollsPrefabricated Pony Truss Pedestrian Bridge Superstructure – Supply and Fabrication, Delivery and ErectionSod on 150mm depth topsoilNaturalized seed mix hydroseeded c/w binder on 200mm depth topsoilNaturalized planting bed c/w 150mm depth rototill existing subgrade, 650mm depth topsoil at shrub plantings, 1000mm depth topsoil at tree plantings, and 100mm depth wood mulchSlope stabilization c/w erosion control matting (cocomatting)Decorative Moyie irregular boulder 0.6m-1.0m dia.Meadow seed mix hydroseeded c/w binder on 200mm depth topsoilParks & boulevard seed mix hydroseeded c/w binder on 200mm depth topsoilNaturalization mix of plantings to include a distribution of: deciduous trees @ 1 per 7 sq.m. - 50mm caliper. (max count of 68 ec.) AND/OR coniferous trees @ 1 per sq.m. - 2.4m height AND/OR Naturalization mix coniferous trees @ 1 per 7 sq.m. - 2.4 height AND/OR Naturalization mix low shrubs @ 1 per 1 sq.m. - #5 pot minimum *species and distribution per drawing L000*Supply and install the site amenities of benches, signage, t-bollards and waste receptacles;Cement Stabilized Sub-base (As-Required)Remove existing trail and replace with 3.0m multi-use trail, including 150mm depth subgrade preparation to 100% SPD, 200mm granular base to 100% SPD, 75mm of 10mm-LT SGC asphalt and 100mm solid painted centerline. Restore disturbed landscaping to the approval of the City (As-Required)Supply and install 250 CSP culvert & flared end sections under multi-used trail, c/w excavation, bedding, backfill and rip rap on geotextile (As-Required)
