Description
The purpose of this Request for Tender is to establish a panel of qualified and experienced digger driver operators to carry out turf bank reprofiling, drain blocking, and other tasks as part of a peatland restoration project. The works will be undertaken at designated sites in the Connemara Bog Complex SAC, and The Twelve Bens/Garraun Complex SAC, Co. Galway. The work will include: operate excavation machinery for peatland restoration tasks, work in alignment with the provided Restoration Action Plan and ensure adherence to best practices for environmental conservation. This panel will operate from 1st January 2025 to 31st December 2025. We reserve the right to extend the panel for up to 2 years to December 2027. Applications will be accepted throughout the lifecycle of the Panel and all unsuccessful applicants are invited to re-submit an application that meets the minimum requirements at any time during the currency of the panel, however in order to be considered for the first tranche of contracts, applicants should apply by 6th January 2025
