Request for equivalence :

See the tender document for further information on the conditions for requesting equivalence.

Tender guarantee :

The bid must be accompanied by a bid security equivalent to TEN PER CENT (10%) of the contract value.

Letter of commitment :

A letter of commitment for the performance guarantee and a guarantee for pledges, materials and labor must be enclosed with the bid.

Performance bond :

The bid must be accompanied by a performance bond equivalent to FIFTY PER CENT (50%) of the contract value.

Warranties for guarantees, materials and labor :

The bid must be accompanied by a guarantee for wages, materials and labor equivalent to FIFTY PER CENT (50%) of the contract value.

Electronic transmission:

Bids may be submitted electronically. Where applicable, this may only be done via the electronic tendering system (SEAO).

N.B. Bidders are strongly encouraged to submit their bids electronically. However, it is not compulsory to submit bids in paper format.

Sainte-Justine UHC will not accept the lowest or any bid received.

Only contractors with a business office in Quebec or in a province or territory covered by an intergovernmental agreement and holding the required license under the Building Act are eligible to bid.

A contractor holding a restricted license issued by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec or registered in the register of companies ineligible for public contracts (RENA) and whose period of ineligibility for public contracts has not ended, is not eligible to submit a bid; these two cases of ineligibility also apply to the bidder's subcontractors.

Bidders are responsible for the choice of subcontractors, both in terms of their solvency and the content of their bids, and must inform them of the conditions they intend to impose on them, and ensure that they hold the required permits and licenses.
