Renewal of CHP plant at Biblis wastewater treatment plant; Scope of services:; Kommunalwirtschaft Mittlere Bergstraße operates a digester gas CHP plant at the Biblis wastewater treatment plant; to generate electrical and thermal energy by using the digester gas produced. The existing digester gas CHP plant was built in 2014 and needs to be refurbished due to its age; The new CHP plant will be installed as a compact plant in a container near the digester tank; The CHP plant in need of refurbishment is installed in the operations building and will be dismantled by the contractor. The sulphur concentrations in the digester gas are currently around 107 mg\/m³. Suitable digester gas purification is therefore required as part of the remediation. A; low-pressure gas storage tank: (200 m³) and: one: Low-pressure gas flare: including; condensate drainage systems. The existing CHP plant feeds the electrical energy into the low-voltage main distribution system and the thermal energy into the heating distribution system in the plant building. There are no plans to change these feed-in points for the new CHP plant. The following; project objectives and interfaces therefore result from the aforementioned framework conditions:; : Renovation of the digester gas CHP plant without changes to the digester gas system and the; feed-in points for electrical and thermal energy; : Examination of the requirements for digester gas purification and, if necessary, planning of suitable facilities for; digester gas treatment
