Canada - Rehabilitation of 4th avenue Painchaud

Description

The City of La Pocatière is requesting bids for the rehabilitation of 4th Avenue Painchaud, as summarized below:
Potable water distribution work:
- Construction of 150 to 300 mm ø drinking water mains, over an approximate length of 705 linear metres, to replace existing mains.
- Construction of drinking water service connections.
- Installation of fire valves and hydrants.

Wastewater collection works:
- Construction of sanitary sewer pipes from 250 to 750 mm ø, over an approximate length of 540 linear meters, to replace the existing combined sewer network.
- Construction of sanitary sewer service connections.

Storm sewer work
- Construction of a 300 to 750 mm ø storm sewer network, over an approximate length of 540 linear meters.
- Construction of catch basins.
- Construction of storm sewer service pipes.

Earthworks and gravelling
- Redevelopment of a section of 4th Avenue Painchaud, including complete reconstruction of the pavement structure and installation of pedestrian slabs, sidewalks, curbs and side islands, over a length of approximately 525 linear meters.
- Connection of secondary streets, over a length of approximately 260 linear meters.
- Additional pavement repairs.
- Repair of rear roads by adjusting the profile of adjacent land to that of the new roadway.

Asphalt work
- Paving in areas where pavement rehabilitation and/or repair is required, as follows:
 - 4th avenue Painchaud and connections to adjacent streets (full-width paving (pavement rehabilitation));
 - 1st rue Poiré, 2nd rue Guimond and 9th rue boulevard Desrochers (local paving repairs);
 - Repair of paved backs in the above-mentioned areas.

Structural work :
- Reconstruction of existing retaining walls, locally.
- Demolition of an existing disused fire tank.

Electrical work:
- Construction of electrical supply and distribution.
- Installation of decorative light bollards with and without electrical outlets.

Landscape architecture:
- Planting islands.
- Construction of prefabricated pavers.
- Urban furniture layout.
- Planting of trees, shrubs and perennials.

This work is being carried out under the Québec government's "Programme d'infrastructures municipales d'eau 2023" (PRIMEAU 2023) financial assistance program.

Tender documents will be available on the Système Électronique d'Appel d'Offres (S.E.A.O.) website (www.seao.ca / 47524TT) as of December 6, 2024. Obtaining documents is subject to S.E.A.O. fees.

To be validly considered, all submissions must be prepared on the form provided on the
SEAO website.

Bids must be received and physically presented at the Hôtel de Ville de La Pocatière at the address indicated below, before 11:00 a.m., local time, on January 22, 2025. The opening will take place publicly on the same day, in the minutes following the closing time, in the municipal council chambers at the above address, in the presence of the persons concerned.
