Description

A geospatial economic report of the Eastern and Midland Region comprising of the following components: - An economic report of the Eastern and Midland Region to inform and support the development of a new/revised Regional and Spatial Economic Strategy including an evidence based overview and assessment of the Region's overall economic performance from a national and international perspective. - Detail relating to the resilience of the regional economy to cope with changes to the global economy originating from climate change and the examination of sustainable models of economic growth. - Detail relating to enhancing the economic environment of the Eastern and Midland Region having regard to the Assembly's functions related to Regional Innovation Valleys, Local Economic and Community Plans, and Regional Enterprise Plans. - A clear understanding of the related policy context, other relevant reports and developments, and a clear ability to demonstrate synergies with the national policy context. - The inclusion of mechanisms to enhance economic resilience and capacity, including the identification of, and how to build on, economic opportunities and address challenges, setting out what is required to create a sustainable economy and competitive enterprise environment in the Eastern and Midland Region. - Detail on the future policy direction for the RSES and how this can be achieved, to include an action plan. Please refer to Appendix 1 of this Request for Tender for a full description of the tender requirements.
