Description

The City of Kitchener is responsible for managing the wastewater resources in Kitchener, Ontario. The City uses a Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) system that monitors and controls twenty-two (22) sewage pumping stations.All sites have some level of automation ranging from standalone control, without an operator interface, to full Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) capabilities with remote operations monitored continuously from a central control room located at the City of Kitchener, head office. This effort is a continuation from the two pilot sites, Homer Watson, and Pioneer Tower. Included in this scope, are the following sites:-         Stoke Drive Pumping Station-         Patricia Ave Pumping Station-         Victoria Pumping Station-         Springmount Pumping Station-         Bancroft Pumping Station-         Woolner Trail Pumping Station-         King Street Pumping Station-         Conestogo College Pumping Station-         New Dundee Pumping StationCity of Kitchener initiated their SCADA System Upgrade Program to manage the steps necessary to upgrade and integrate all of its wastewater pumping stations SCADA systems into a single standardized system capable of being remotely monitored and controlled. The intent of this document is to source only qualified contractors for the nine (9) sites mentioned above.
