Description

The HSE invites tenders for the provision of General Practitioner Service to inpatients within the National Forensic Mental Health Services. The NFMHS campus in Portrane, Co. Dublin is a new state-of-the-art facility on a 32-acre site, which will provide care for up to a maximum of beds – currently 112 patients. The National Forensic Mental Health Service (NFMHS) relocated from Dundrum to Portrane on 13th of November 2022. The service currently provides multi-disciplinary services, including nursing for 112 beds to a maximum of 170 beds in the Central Mental Hospital (CMH). It is planned to increase the occupancy of the Central Mental Hospital to 130 beds, and also to develop an Intensive Care Rehabilitation Unit (ICRU) and Forensic Child and Adult Mental Health In Patient service on a phased strategic basis.
