Power supply at the Zepernick waterworks
The power supply at the Zepernick waterworks is to be fundamentally overhauled. To this end, a prefabricated structure is to be erected on the site, in which a new low-voltage main distribution board and various sub-distribution boards are to be installed. An automatic switchover between grid operation (transformer from existing system) and emergency power operation is to be implemented. The corresponding emergency power generator (LPG) is to be installed as part of the construction project. The control of the water intake of the waterworks is to be relocated from the waterworks building to the newly constructed building in the form of a new sub-distribution board. The former low-voltage main distribution board in the waterworks building is to be replaced.

As part of the renewal and new construction of the low-voltage systems, the relevant automation is also to be expanded and adapted. For this purpose, various PLCs including connection to the existing systems are to be set up. The process control technology will be expanded with a redundant server and the existing server will be replaced. The existing control system is to be expanded to include the new system components.

For cable laying between the new building and the waterworks building, a cable laying system in the form of empty conduits and cable ducts will be installed outside.

All work will be carried out on the site while the plant is in operation. Corresponding expenses for switching and commissioning as well as for construction site equipment must be taken into account.
