Lot 1: 24-066229D - New building NHR, 15150 E 0001:
Construction of a new high-performance data center consisting of two buildings, computer building (RG in the f.) and office building (BG in the f.), which are connected by a bridge on the upper floor, as well as the necessary development measures (complete technical development). The upper cost limit is EUR 89 million and the building is to be handed over and commissioned by 2030 at the latest.
Parallel to these construction measures, a further development measure with a new parking garage, the ESTW transfer station and the construction of a new chemistry building (Chemikum II) are taking place in the immediate vicinity.
In relation to the entire FAU site in the south of Erlangen, the new Technical Chemistry building on Immerwahrstraße should also be mentioned.
All construction measures together can lead to bottlenecks in the construction site facilities and the development of the construction sites, as construction processes interfere with each other and road sections are closed. In the case of Chemikum II, NHR and the Nikolaus-Fiebiger-Straße development, the construction sites are running in parallel.

Construction of a new high-performance data center in Northern Bavaria ("NHR") consisting of three construction phases. The construction of a computer building ("RG") and an office building ("BG"), which are not accessible to the public, is planned in the first construction phase, as well as the creation of the necessary access and the expansion of the existing data network. In the long term, a second construction phase is planned to extend the office building (not part of this measure).

The RG is used to house the computers and networks for general university operations as well as the high-performance computers (HPC), including the technical infrastructure.
The BG is used to accommodate staff and functions directly related to the operation of the computers. The office building is to be arranged and planned in such a way that an extension in a later 2nd construction phase is feasible.

The two buildings were each awarded separately to a general contractor. Interfaces are to be coordinated with the two general planners of the building construction measures and the planner for civil engineering and traffic facilities as well as outdoor facilities in the further course of planning. There is a project controller for action areas A and D, project stages 1-5.
The entire flow of data, information and communication takes place via a common data environment (CDE). This is procured and operated by the client for the duration of the project.
The planning of the construction logistics described below is carried out without using the BIM method.

Lot 2: 24D0371 - New Chemikum building 2nd BA, 15133 E 0002:
The new construction of the Chemikum, 2nd BA of the FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg is to be built with approx.14,500m² NF (NUF 1-7) and approx.34,800m² GFA on the grounds of the NatFak of the Campus South in Erlangen. This is to serve the research and teaching of the Department of Chemistry and Pharmacy of the NatFak as well as the Department of Didactics with the chairs\/units.

The planned new building connects to the central forum of the Chemikum 1.BA and takes up the building line of the Biologikum, located to the north, in the heterogeneous environment of the neighboring university buildings in the eastern area towards Nikolaus-Fiebiger-Straße.

The scope of the outdoor facilities encompasses the entire building site and will be awarded separately to an outdoor facilities planner and include all essential aspects of outdoor facilities planning

Parallel to the new construction measures of the Chemikum 2nd BA, the necessary development measures will be carried out as well as another development measure with a new parking garage (Nuremberg State Building Authority) to the south in the immediate vicinity, the new construction of the NHR to the east, the laying of the fiber optic cables by third parties and the transfer station for the computer building carried out by ESTW.
In relation to the entire FAU site in the south of Erlangen, the new construction of the Technical Chemistry (NTC) on Immerwahrstraße should also be mentioned, which will lead to a road closure.
