NRW.URBAN GmbH & Co. KG (client) intends to construct a new building or - depending on the outcome of the planning process - several buildings including technical
including technical equipment and associated outdoor facilities to house the battery cell research production facility at the Münster site. The client is acting in a fiduciary capacity for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, which is financing the construction project with state funds.
The construction project is part of the "Battery Cell Research Production (FFB)" project. The FFB's mission is to develop the framework conditions for the establishment of battery cell production in Germany in order to avoid dependence on the markets in the Far East. To this end, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has selected the Münster site for the construction and establishment of the battery cell production facility following a detailed selection process.
