Description

This contract concerns the organisation and coordination of the transport (to and from) of works of art (with or without courier) from Belgium and abroad (in accordance with the attached inventory list) in connection with the exhibition "Voies de la modernité", which will take place in the premises of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium (RMFAB) in Brussels from 15.10.2021 until 13.2.2022.
a) The production of standard packaging: soft and box (see description p. 27). After the contract has been concluded but before the order has been placed, the packaging conditions may be changed in accordance with the lender's instructions. The lender/owner decides whether the production of the packaging meets his requirements. Any additional costs must be documented. These changes fall fully under the application of Article 38/2 of the Implementing RD of 14.1.2013;b) Packing and unpacking of the works (see inventory list) according to the lenders' wishes (custom-made crates or soft packing - tyvek, bubble wrap, cardboard, corners) on the outward journey and on the return journey;c) Transport by road or air of these works, on the outward journey and on the return journey, according to the lenders' wishes;(d) The organization of the travel of the couriers of the works to and from the exhibition, including the reservation of air tickets, train tickets and hotel rooms; (e) The customs formalities relating to the transport of these works to and from the exhibitionf) Removal of the empty crates before the opening of the exhibition and their storage in a secure, dry, controlled area free from the risk of infestation by wood-boring insects for the entire period of the exhibition and delivery of the crates to the Museum on the first day of the dismantling of the exhibition(g) Assistance in hanging the works of art by two of the transporter's employees for two weeks during the installation and two weeks during the dismantling of the exhibition; (h) Coordination of all of these actions by a coordinator who is experienced in the field of transporting works of art for exhibitions and who is multilingual (French and Dutch, English if possible).The contract is divided into two phases:- phase 1: the packing, the packing itself and the transport of the works from their place of conservation (owner) to the premises of the RMFAB and the unpacking of the works on site;- phase 2: the packing of the works, their transport from the premises of the RMFAB to the owner and their unpacking on site.
