Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), has a electrical construction requirement at one of its facilities at Moore Air Base, Edinburg, Texas.
Background:
Building 6414 has an existing electrical distribution system comprised of an exterior main switchboard and various distribution transformers and panelboards throughout the facility. The existing electrical equipment is almost entirely original to the building and has exceeded its rated life. Equipment displays signs of water damage and corrosion. A two-phased project, the overall project will include replacement of the main service transformer, main switchboard, distribution equipment and associated feeders.
Project Description—Phase 1:
New service transformer, exterior main switchboard and transfer switch to back-feed existing switchboard, and all the work defined in the project drawings and specifications is included in the scope of this project.
