Description
The aim is to implement the various monitoring programs provided for in the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD), in order to provide information on abundance and distribution indicators for seabirds and coastal birds on the Channel, North Sea and Atlantic coasts, and to assess the good state of populations.
These include monitoring of breeding seabirds (breeding numbers, production of young, macro-waste in cormorant nests), monitoring and protection of gravelots nesting on Channel North Sea beaches, monitoring of birds stranded on the coast (Ospar evaluation of ECOQO "oiled guillemots" and "micro-plastics in Fulmar stomachs") and monitoring of wintering waders in the Bay of Mont-St-Michel.
The services to be provided under the present contract are detailed in the Cahier des Clauses Techniques Particulières (CCTP).
