Description
The aim is to implement the various monitoring programs provided for in the Strategic Framework Directive for the Marine Environment (SFDME), in order to provide information on indicators of abundance and distribution of seabirds and coastal birds in the Channel and North Sea, and to assess the good status of populations.
The monitoring projects concerned are the monitoring and protection of gravelots nesting on Channel and North Sea beaches, the monitoring of birds stranded on the coast (Ospar evaluation of the ECOQO "oiled guillemots" and "micro-plastics in Fulmar stomachs") and the monitoring of wintering waders in the Bay of Mont-St-Michel.
The services to be provided under the present contract are detailed in the Cahier des Clauses Techniques Particulières (CCTP).
