The Boyne Valley as a tourism destination includes County Meath in its entirety and South County Louth in order to ensure the greatest spread of economic development. Boyne Valley Tourism represents 200 tourism businesses across the Boyne Valley. The remit of Boyne Valley Tourism is to support the tourism industry through marketing amongst other supports with the objective of increasing bednights and revenue from both domestic and international markets. Meath and Louth County Councils together with Boyne Valley Tourism has just launched its new Tourism Strategy. It has as a target to increase dwell time from 29 percent to 50 percent staying at least one night in the destination. The strategy outlines that the full extent of the destination must be communicated to include its world class heritage and also its coast, adventure and activity product, greenways, blueway, walking, cycling, and experiences. It sets out an ambitious target to become the one of the most experiential destinations in the world. This tender seeks to achieve these targets for the industry of the Boyne Valley destination through communication both organic and targeted investment in digital advertising. The ultimate objective of social media and digital marketing for Boyne Valley tourism is to gain exposure for its members and the destination. The destination website is www.discoverboynevalley.ie
