Description
Project: MARINE DIESEL FUEL SUPPLY FOR SHIP FLEET
TENDER NO.: 4102-2024-023
1. PURPOSE
The purpose of the Contract is the supply and delivery of marine diesel fuel (MDO) for the refuelling of STQ's vessels, as well as the provision of any related services required for the performance of the Contract.
With the exception of certain vessels powered by liquefied natural gas, most STQ services are provided by vessels powered by marine diesel fuel (MDO). The STQ must ensure that its ships are fuelled in such a way as to avoid any of them being out of service due to a lack of fuel. Vessels must be refueled on a regular basis, at the various sites where they are docked, as more fully described in section 1.8 hereof. All fuel shall be delivered by the Supplier directly into the ships' tanks by tanker trucks, depending on local conditions, either on board by gravity or on the quayside by a tanker truck equipped with a pump.
This Contract shall come into force on February 1, 2025 and shall terminate on January 31, 2028, this being the first contractual period. The Contract may be renewed for two (2) additional and successive periods of twelve (12) months each.
2. SITE SURVEY
It is the bidder's responsibility to carry out, at its own expense, a careful examination of the site to be serviced, in order to ascertain the condition of the site, the nature of the contract and the constraints related to its performance. In particular, he must obtain all useful information and verify all other circumstances and conditions, including climatic conditions, likely to have an impact on the conditions of performance of the services to be rendered and on the contract price.
