Description

Lacombe County has recognized the need to explore potential building retrofits to improve the energy efficiency of the Remote Shops. The County has identified potential cost savings through the Municipal Climate Change Action Centre (MCCAC) Municipal Energy Generation Program to implement building retrofits, which will increase the efficiency of the Remote Shops and reduce Lacombe County’s carbon footprint. Proponents shall ensure that proposed designs and work plans are compliant with the requirements of the MCCAC Municipal Energy Generation Program requirements.

Lacombe County is seeking proposals for the design and installation of rooftop solar arrays on the Tees and Rainy Creek Shops, which will offset between 90% and 100% of the average annual electricity consumption of the two facilities. The systems shall be grid-connected and compliant with the Alberta Microgeneration Regulation.
