Klosterstraße 1, 73547 Lorch, Lorch, monastery, gatehouse, façade and roof renovation, engineering services in accordance with Part 4 Section 2 HOAI, Various structural interventions have been carried out on the roof structure of the Lorch monastery gatehouse in the past, presumably also to eliminate structural deficits. Nevertheless, damage and defects in the roof structure are still evident today. In addition, there is further damage and defects to the building envelope (half-timbered facades, water drainage, etc.), some of which are considerable. For this reason, an initial damage analysis was carried out by "JaKo Baudenkmalpflege" in 2020. Based on this damage analysis, further investigations of the roof structure, the façades and the interiors were carried out. These investigations form the basis for a concept for the professional restoration of the Tor building, while at the same time taking into account the preservation of historical monuments. In the course of the first construction phase, repair work will be carried out on the roof and the façade surfaces (exposed framework). In the course of the second construction phase, the interior of the envelope is to be refurbished. In addition to the insulation of exterior wall surfaces, this also includes the overhaul of the electrical installations in the affected areas. A PV system is also planned for the roof.
