Description
Kilkenny County Council is seeking Consulting Engineers in relation to the remediation of Ferrymountgarret Bridge. The Scope of Services includes, inter alia, structural investigation and materials testing; preparation of a database of reinforced concrete defects based on a detailed inspection of the structure to properly inform a concrete repair contract; preparation of a database of structural steel defects based on a detailed inspection of the structure to properly inform a steel repair and protection system renewal contract; assessment of load capacity of the structure, assessment of existing vehicle containment on the structure; development of options and selection of a preferred solution for reinforced concrete repair, structural steel repair and renewal of structural steel protective systems, renewal of bridge expansion joints; the undertaking of a scour survey and underwater condition survey with suitably qualified divers; the design of bridge remedial works, the preparation of tender documents for these remedial works and the procurement of a main Works Contractor for the remedial works.
