Description

The Project seeks a quantitative assessment of Alberta’s competitiveness with regards to promoting investment and growth in the data centre industry, particularly in comparison to key peer jurisdictions in Canada and the United States.

The Project will involve complementary analysis undertaken by both the Contractor and the Province, utilizing common assumptions. The Contractor, in collaboration with the Province, will integrate the Province’s analysis into their analysis, where appropriate, culminating in one final comprehensive report from the Contractor which incorporates both the Contractor’s analysis and that of the Province.

Based on the common assumptions and scenarios determined in collaboration with the Province, the Contractor will conduct a financial analysis of indicative data centre projects as well as a cost-benefit analysis for the Province, concerning the potential expansion of the data centre industry in Alberta.

The final report should offer a data-driven, quantitative analysis which is supported by qualitative reasoning drawn from the Contractor’s subject matter expertise.
