Description

Transition to Employment Services is a part time delivered service that helps unemployed and under employed Albertans receive a variety of individualized supports to acquire workplace and occupation related competencies that will facilitate their attachment to paid full-time employment.

Workers over the age of 45 have unique needs and challenges when reattaching to the workforce. This target client population brings valuable experience and skills to offer our economy, but negative stereotypes about this group persist and can impact their labour force participation. These unhelpful attitudes can lead to discriminatory employment practices and can contribute to a lack of confidence and self-worth for the workers.

This RFP supports the Government of Alberta’s (GoA) Jobs, Economy and Trade Mandate to ensure Alberta is a highly competitive destination for job-creating international and domestic investments through effective and client-centered programs and policies. . This RFP also supports seeking solutions to Alberta’s labour market shortages in key sectors including technology, agriculture, construction, and health care. The RFP will address current and longer-term labour market challenges by delivering responsive programming.
