Description

Comprehensive job evaluation exercise of selected positions, including all those represented by the Trade Union Congress (TUC). This is with a view to achieving the appropriate internal and external compensation equity through accurate job classification and similar job descriptions by way of a market survey and alignment to the same.

Scope of services

To submit quotations to conduct a job evaluation service the contractor must provide the following services:

• define the job evaluation process
• review and assess the size and level of each job to ensure that pay and grade are appropriate
• review the duties and responsibilities associated with each job
• develop a framework that allows for the comparison of jobs to determine the appropriate rate of pay
• assess the relative value of each job in relation to others both internally and externally in a defined market determined by the company and the TUC
• ensure that the salary survey samples selected reflect a wide cross section of comparable companies
• create a salary scale for each position showing minimum, mean and maximum salary, outlining basic salary and allowances
• establish a framework of hierarchical scale establishing the relative worth of each position where jobs are ranked based on accountability, authority levels and duties of each job
• produce necessary documentation and reports associated with the research and salary survey activities electronically and keep written records for all surveys. Soft copies of reports (interim of final) be sent in PDF
