BDC26-24/25The Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Design and Construction is soliciting formal, competitive, sealed bids from Contractors licensed to work in the jurisdiction for the project listed below.PROJECT NAME: Oscar Scherer State Park – Road Paving RepairsBID SUBMITTAL DUE DATE: No later than 3:30 PM (ET), Thursday, November 21, 2024,to the below address: Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Design and Construction, 3800 Commonwealth Boulevard, MS #520, Tallahassee, Florida, 32399-3000, Attention: Brandon Williams, Contracts Specialist, Bureau of Design and Construction, (850) 245-2535. For hand delivery: Carr Building, Welcome Desk. The Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids.BID POSTING DATE: No later than 3:30 PM (ET), Tuesday, December 3, 2024, unless extended by the Department for good cause.INSTRUCTIONS: Documents for this bid will be available for download on Friday, October 18, 2024. Any firm desiring a Project Manual with the plans for this project may obtain directions by emailing BDC_Contracts@dep.state.fl.us.SCOPE OF WORK:Base Bid:Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and permitting to overlay Oscar Scherer State Park existing asphalt roadway in two segments in accordance with the contract documents.Alternate #1:Shall consist of clearing the entire site remove existing base and sub-base. Install new sub-base, base and asphalt pavement for the parking area. Creating 12 parking spaces (which includes 1 handicap space) with wheel stops and painted striping and install 2 stop signs and stop bars.Alternate #2:Shall consist of installing new sub-base, base and asphalt pavement, creating 8 parking spaces with wheel stops and painted 6" striping, also the existing wood fence along the southwest side shall be removed and replaced as shown(in the plans).Note: Bidder Prequalification is required for all bids. Each bidder shall provide a copy of its biennial pre-qualification letter from FDEP’s Bureau of Design and Construction. To request a pre-qualification letter, the bidder should email BDC_Contracts@dep.state.fl.us.
