Description

The rectoral building's south-facing facade features attic space covered with non-thermally insulated tin roofing. These attics are the extension of large office areas. As a result, sunlight causes a rise in temperature in the spaces beneath the metal sheeting, which is a serious inconvenience for neighboring departments.
In order to remedy the temperature rise in these attics, and by ricochet in the adjoining departments, it is planned to install a suspended ceiling made of mineral wool and plasterboard panels on the underside of the sheet metal roofs. This measure will be accompanied by the application of a ceramic-based thermal paint to the sheet metal roofing, designed to reverberate solar heat.
The operation will combine "energy efficiency" and "fire safety" aspects. Some of the attics do not meet minimum fire safety standards. The work carried out will bring them into compliance.
