Description

In order to implement the Water Framework Directive (WFD) in Warendorf, planning approval has been granted for the "New Ems" project in the inner-city area, section 2: "Ems-West". In preparation for the large-scale work in the southern and northern Ems floodplain, work is currently being carried out to (partially) cover the "old Velsen landfill" to the west of Warendorf with topsoil from the "Ems-West" construction site.Approx. 9,100 m³ of topsoil in the northern floodplain, area approx. 2.3 ha, approx. 620 m³ of topsoil in the southern floodplain, area approx. 0.42 ha, are to be loosened, loaded and transported to the "Altablagerung Velsen" about 1 km northwest of Warendorf and deposited in layers up to approx. 1.1 m high in layers to cover part of the old landfill on an area of approx. 2.2 ha. this requires the construction of approx. 305 m of site road using local construction methods and the delivery of up to 1260 m of steel plates (6.00 m * 1.80 m, d = 15 mm) for the construction of mobile site roads of the required width in several places ---see contract documents for more details.
