Description
The Northern Health Authority (NHA) intends to develop a Master Program and Master Plan - The ‘Plan’ for Wrinch Memorial Hospital (WMH) site, Hazelton, BC including all associated services provided at the site. NHA invites proponents to submit a proposal based on the information that follows. Comprehensive team likely comprised of a programmer, architect, engineers, and possibly others are anticipated to respond to this RFP. NHA is seeking a “one team” approach under a Lead Consultant. Individual “stand alone” component proposals will not be considered. The work shall assess how the facility and the programs delivered therein can meet current needs and the needs resulting from growth in the community, projected shifts in demographics, and anticipated changes in healthcare delivery through to 2045. Transitioning from the current state to the future state of 2045 must be addressed through planning which identifies short-, medium- and long-term capital infrastructure recommendations. Recommendations for incremental capital changes to meet Master-plan are required. The Plan shall address needs in 5-year increments. Phased renovation, renewal, and new construction plans; benefits, issues, costs, and staging demands are to be developed. Building addition options, where identified as a solution, will include solutions for construction on the existing site while maintaining existing services. Ultimately, the goal of this work will be to produce supporting documentation in the development of an NHA health care delivery plan and business plan.
