Description
For KW 1, Nuremberg, a new exhaust air treatment plant is to be planned for the exhaust air from the inlet lift, screen, grit chamber, container plant and sludge stacking containers. The type of plant is specified as a photo oxidation plant (FOA).
The task includes the specialist planning: Technical equipment (HOAI 2021 § 53 para. 2 no. 3, ventilation systems) Planning, tendering and construction supervision of the new FOA in outdoor installation with pipeline construction. This includes the control/regulation of the system and the control cabinets. The planning of the electrical engineering, i.e. connection to the power grid and connection of the control/regulation to the control system are not part of the tender. This task will be carried out by the client. The contract is to be awarded in stages: LP 1-3 and then LP 5-9.
A 2-stream exhaust air scrubber is currently being operated in a building. In order to maintain ongoing operations at least at half capacity during the conversion, the new system is to be built in two stages. This means that one scrubber line will be shut down and then the first line of the FOA will be built. Once this has been commissioned, the second scrubber line is shut down and the second FOA line is built.
In order to realize the outdoor installation of the FOA, demolition and conversion work on the building is required. This work is not part of the tender. The demolition and conversion work on the building will be supervised by an architectural firm in a separate parallel project. However, both measures (structural remodeling of the building and new construction of the FOA) must be coordinated. The rough interface between the two projects is the concrete ceiling slab on which the FOA is to be installed.
