Description

1. Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN)
An ACAN is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that a department or agency intends to
award a contract for goods, services or construction to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other
suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits
a statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date
stated in the ACAN, the contracting officer may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier.
2. Definition of the requirement
The Department of National Defence has a requirement to procure Ground Power Adaptation Control and
Cooling (GPACC) system, which is critical for providing reliable ground-based power, control, and cooling
for Link 16 legacy Low Volume Terminal (LVT) and Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) radios. The
GPACC will enable the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Data Link Weapon System Manager (DLWSM)
to conduct cost-effective interoperability testing and evaluations in a static environment while continuing
to field mobile racks to operational units.
To obtain this capability, DND is procuring GPACC listed below.
