Platform 1 at Gardelegen station has a listed canopy that is partially connected to the former station building. Due to its age, the wooden roof shows numerous signs of damage and, according to a current expert opinion, the supporting structure is no longer stable. Temporary support structures have been installed to secure it. In order to repair the roof, the roof covering and roof boarding must be completely renewed and the lower support areas and their foundations must be reinforced. All other elements are to be renovated in accordance with the preservation order or reproduced in the original style.
