This REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) is for market research and planning purposes only and shall not be considered to be an obligation by the Government to acquire any products or services. Responses to this RFI will be accepted via e-mail to the address listed below. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this Notice. Respondents will not be notified of the results of this evaluation. Capability statements will not be returned and will not be accepted after the due date.

Pursuant to 48 C.F.R. Part 10, the Government is conducting market research to:
• Determine what sources exist that are capable of satisfying the Government's requirements listed below
• Determine the capabilities of potential contractors
• Determine the size and status of potential sources
• Determine the level of competition

The Department's acquisition workforce is composed of approx. 100 contracting officers (CO) and contracting specialists (CS) that issue awards valued at over $2B per fiscal year. As required by Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 4.6, the Department reports all contracts actions that are valued as $3K or more to the Federal Procurement Data System - Next Generation (FPDS-NG). FPDS-NG is an automated system used to collect and report on federal procurement spending and serves as the U.S. Government's single authoritative repository for federal procurement award data for all contracts valued at $3K or more.

As the U.S. Government's official repository for acquisition-related data, it is imperative that the data contained in FPDS-NG is valid and accurate. The purpose of this Source Sought Notice is to identify any available vendors that can provide automated data validation services (ADVS) that can identify suspected or known FPDS-NG errors so as to ensure that the entered FPDS-NG data is valid and accurate.
Interested parties are invited to submit a capability statement. In order to successfully perform the work, a contractor must be able to provice ADVS for FPDS data.
PAGE LIMIT FOR CAPABILITY STATEMENTS IS 5 PAGES. THE CAPABILITY STATEMENTS MUST DEMONSTRATE THE REQUIREMENTS OR THE ABILITY TO PROVIDE THE REQUIREMENTS OUTLINED ABOVE. Please address each in order listed above.

7. Current GSA Schedules, if any, appropriate to this Sources Sought
8. Point of Contact, phone number and email address of individuals who can verify the demonstrated capabilities identified in the responses.
Due Date for Capability and Comment Submission: 
Interested parties having the capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements may submit capability statements via email to Kristi.Rhodes@ed.gov with a copy to Brigid.Lochary@ed.gov. Responses must be submitted no later than 10:00AM Eastern Standard Time,Friday, June 14, 2019. Capability statements will not be returned and will not be accepted after the due date.
