Description
The purpose of this RFQ is to invite vendors who have the necessary qualifications and experience relative to the scope and nature of this project to provide quotes for the supply, repair, and installation to various building assets.
Based on the responses gathered, and the selection criteria indicated in this RFQ, one contractor will be selected to complete the work. The arrangement with the successful proponent will be established by means of a Contract based on the quotation form (Pricing Schedule) inserted in this RFQ (Appendix A).
1. All work shall be in accordance with all local and provincial codes and regulations. All work
shall be performed by a qualified tradesman, tested and under warranty for a period of
one year from acceptance date of work. Contractor is responsible for obtaining all
necessary permits from the authority having jurisdiction.
2. The Contractor shall provide all labour, materials, tools, equipment and services including
transportation necessary to complete the work. The intent is that the Contractor provides
a complete job. Demolition and disposal costs are to be included in the contractor’s quote.
Site is to be clear of all debris upon completion of demolition work.
3. The contractor shall be responsible for all damages to the buildings, sites, and services as
a result of this work, activities of this work and activities of the contractor's workers or
their negligent security arrangements. Damages shall be repaired at contractor’s own
expense.
4. The Contractor shall provide all shop drawings, product data sheets and samples for
review and approval by the province or province representative before contractor
commences work.
5. All products shall be CSA certified materials as specified or a prior-approved alternate
before contractor commences work.
6. Substitutions are permitted under approval of the province’s representative.
The costs of any changes affecting other disciplines, including approved alternatives, shall be
included in the contract cost.
