3. Summary description of construction work required :
The purpose of this call for tenders is to find a CONTRACTOR capable of demolishing existing partitions, building new drywall, modifying and relocating electromechanical services, and finishing various surfaces. The Jean-Piaget school serves a clientele with significant motor and intellectual difficulties. Much of the work will have to be carried out in the evenings and/or on weekends. Particular attention must be paid to mobilizing the contractor in terms of dust control, noisy work and access management. After each shift, the contractor must ensure that the site is clean, dust-free and fit for purpose.

Completion date (acceptance with reserve): January 24, 2025
Completion date (unconditional acceptance): February 7, 2025
Only contractors holding the required Building Act license and CCQ membership, where applicable, will be considered for contract award. Tenderers are responsible for the choice of subcontractors, both in terms of their solvency and the content of their tender.
A non-mandatory visit of the premises, in the presence of the professionals, is planned as follows:
A site visit is scheduled for October 7, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at the meeting point located at 3150, boulevard Dagenais ouest, Laval, QC H7P 1V1.
4. Tender guarantee (nature and amount): 10% of the total amount of the tender, excluding all applicable taxes, in the form of a bond issued by a Financial Institution.
Performance bond :
- Performance guarantee of 50% of the Contract amount in the form of a bond issued by a Financial Institution.
- Bond guarantee for pledges and materials of 50% of the Contract amount in the form of a bond issued by a Financial Institution.
5. Summary description of required insurance :
1) Certificate of "Wrap-up" general liability insurance in a minimum amount of $5 million;
2) Construction site comprehensive insurance certificate;
3) Equipment insurance certificate.

- ACCQO: Trade and Cooperation Agreement between Quebec and Ontario.
- FTAA: Canadian Free Trade Agreement

8. Receipt of bids :

Public opening of bids: immediately after the deadline for receipt of bids.
