Description
Fire protection under building regulations, based on AHO, Issue 17 (2022)
for step-by-step commissioning
Basic information on the project
The town of Ruhland, with a population of around 3,800, is a municipality belonging to the Ruhland office and the basic functional focus for the approximately 7,200 inhabitants of the Ruhland office.
There are no buildings available for unrestricted use for sport, clubs and the public either in the town of Ruhland or in the wider district. The old gymnasium is currently in danger of collapsing and therefore unusable.
Due to the industrial complex bordering Ruhland to the north, the attractiveness of Ruhland and other municipalities belonging to the district as a place to live is growing. As a result, the demand for a sports facility is also growing.
The project aims to significantly improve the living environment. The focus is on creating cross-generational leisure opportunities.
The multi-purpose hall is intended to be a modern training and competition facility for the sports clubs in Ruhland. In addition, the project will significantly improve the conditions for school sports, which will indirectly contribute to securing the school locations in Ruhland. This is also a location factor that should not be underestimated for the development of residential areas.
At the same time, this hall will make it possible for all residents of the community association to experience culture in the countryside across generations (e.g. concerts by choirs, marching bands, theater performances). As the association landscape in Ruhland is already extremely diverse with currently around 100 active associations, this building can also make a significant contribution to strengthening the association landscape and thus to strengthening voluntary work.
The barrier-free use of the building is just as important as the resource-saving construction of a building that can make an important contribution to achieving climate protection goals both during construction and operation.
The project involves a hall with three hall sections. The dimensions of the hall area are to be 22 m x 45 m, making it the size of a handball court (20 m x 40 m). The size of the hall corresponds to the space recommendations for general education schools in the state of Brandenburg. Areas should be considered that correspond to the sample area recommendations of the Brandenburg Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport.
The hall should be usable as a competition, training and cultural event venue with a grandstand for spectators.
In view of the proportion of costs for the operation and maintenance of the building, which will generally amount to a multiple of the investment, it will be a key objective of the planning to build in a resource-saving and therefore climate-friendly manner. The use of a heat pump with panel heating is one of many possibilities. Supporting the power supply and water heating with solar energy is mandatory. A less structured building structure should help to use the energy generated efficiently. A key planning task will have to be to meet the usage requirements to a sufficient extent with a minimum of technical building equipment.
The estimated total net cost of the multi-purpose hall is approximately EUR 7,130,000. The estimated net costs of the services of KG 300 and 400 amount to approx. EUR 5,700,000.
