Summary DetailsThis Request for Quotations is an invitation by the District of Summerland (the “District”) to prospective Respondents to submit non-binding Quotations for the annual inspection, testing, servicing, and replacement of fire extinguishers at District facilities. The work is required to ensure that fire extinguishers remain operable and in optimal condition. You can preview the bid documents with a Preview watermark prior to registering for the opportunity.  The District of Summerland shall not be held responsible for competitive bid documents that are located on any other website.The Opportunity documents set out:The details of the services that the District is seeking; The process for submission, evaluation and award of the Contract; The proposed terms and conditions of the Contract; and The documentation that a Respondent should submit in their Quotation.Submission of QuotationsTo be considered, Quotations must be submitted via bids&tenders electronic bid submission functionality or by email in accordance with the instructions in the RFQ. Quotations must be received no later than the Opportunity Closing Date & Time. It is solely the responsibility of the Respondent to ensure that the Quotation is received on time. There will be no public opening.Term of EngagementThe successful Respondent should be prepared to commence work immediately after the Agreement is awarded. The Agreement shall be valid for an initial term of three (3) years, with the opportunity to renew for up to three (3) additional years, in the District’s sole discretion.Conditions for Participation and Requirements to Request to ParticipatePrior to the evaluation of Quotations, the District will review each Quotation to determine if it complies with the submission instructions and mandatory requirements provided in this Opportunity. If, in the sole discretion of the District, a Quotation does not materially comply with the requirements set out in this Opportunity and/or the District determines that there is a material or perceived Conflict of Interest, the Quotation will be disqualified from further consideration. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the District may consider a non-compliant Quotation if the non-compliance is remedied in accordance with Section 3.11.Mandatory Criteria:1The Quotation must be received by the Closing Date & Time, in accordance with the requirements of Section 3.1 – Opportunity Schedule2The Quotation must be submitted electronically via the bids&tenders in accordance with the requirements of Section 3.9 – Submission of Quotations3The Quotation must include the following completed bids&tenders forms: Appendix B-1 – Quotation Form Appendix B-2 – Applicable Rate Increases Appendix C – Approach & Methodology Appendix D – Corporate Experience & References The Contractor shall provide the District with proof of the following prior to beginning work on this project:The Supplier shall provide the District with proof of the following prior to beginning work on this project:Business License that allows the Supplier to perform work in Summerland (either a Summerland Business License or an Inter-Community/Mobile Business License from another Okanagan-Similkameen municipality). WorkSafeBC Clearance Letter addressed to the District of Summerland, indicating that account is active and in good standing. Commercial General Liability Insurance coverage in the amount of $5,000,000 including coverages for products and completed operations, naming the District as an Additional Insured. Automobile Liability Insurance coverage in the amount of $5,000,000. All-Risk Property Insurance coverage covering the Supplier’s property of every description, including work (products) in progress prior to delivery. Proof of Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC (ASTTBC) Registered Fire Protection Technician (RFPT) certification or equivalent for designated technicians.
