Description
These works involve the demolition of 2no. structures and the upgrading of a third structure on the Merlin Park University Hospital Campus. All 3no. structures are located close to the main entrance to the Merlin Park University Hospital on the Old Dublin Road in Galway. The 3no. structures are listed as follows. 1. The old mortuary building – to be demolished, with all services to be made redundant and removed, and the area to be made good thereafter including the provision of additional carparking. 2. The old security hut – to be demolished, with all services to be made redundant and removed, and the area to be made good thereafter. 3. The old pumphouse – This building will be repurposed as a switch room and therefore the building shall be upgraded accordingly including blocking up window opes, provision of a new door, works to floor and roof, installation of fencing and footpath, provision of new services installations, etc.. Additional works required include for the following. A. Relocation of and installation of new additional street lighting and CCTV cameras in the existing public car park including new ducting and manholes. B. Provision of a road crossing for the installation of ducting to provide power to the public car park street lighting and CCTV cameras from the existing pumphouse new switch room.
