The Centre de services scolaires des Monts-et-Marées (hereinafter referred to as CSSMM), owner, is requesting tenders for work on the "École secondaire Armand St-Onge - Réfection de toiture ailes A et E" project. Tender documents and other information may be obtained from the electronic tendering system (SEAO) at the following address: http://www.seao.ca. Obtaining documents is subject to the fees charged by this organization. The MSSC shall not be held liable for any errors or omissions in any notices or documents transmitted electronically. Consequently, all bidders must ensure that they obtain all documents related to this call for tenders.

The project consists mainly of re-roofing the A and E wings.

A site visit is scheduled for Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 1:30 p.m., meeting at 95, avenue du Parc, in the city of Amqui, province of Quebec, G5J 2L8. Please notify André St-Pierre, associate architect, in advance by e-mail at andre.st-pierre@rivearchitecture.ca to confirm your attendance.

Tenders, in sealed envelopes, should be addressed to the Centre de services scolaires des Monts-et-Marées, to the attention of Mr. Christian Bouchard, and should be identified "Tender for : École secondaire Armand St-Onge (ESASO) - Réfection de toiture ailes A et E". They will be received at his office, at the address indicated below, 2:00 p.m. local time, on Monday, September 23, 2024, to be publicly opened, at the same place, on the same day and at the same time.

Work is scheduled to start as soon as possible, with completion no later than December 1, 2024.

All bids must be accompanied by a bid security representing 10% of the total amount of the bid, excluding all applicable taxes, payable to [name of client], in the form of a bid bond issued by a financial institution that is an insurer holding a licence issued in accordance with the Act respecting insurance (R.S.Q., c. A-32) authorizing it to practice surety insurance, a trust company licensed under the Act respecting trust companies and savings companies (R.S.Q., c. S-29.01), a financial services cooperative governed by the Act respecting financial services cooperatives (R.S.Q., c. C-67.3) or a bank within the meaning of the Bank Act (S.C., 1991, c. 46), failing which the bid will be automatically rejected. This bid bond must be exchanged at the signing of the contract for a performance bond and an obligation bond for pledges, materials and services. These guarantees must be in the form of a bond, the amount of each corresponding to 50% of the contract price.

For the purposes of awarding the contract, only bids from contractors having their principal place of business in Quebec or, where an intergovernmental agreement is applicable, in Quebec or in a province or territory covered by such agreement, and holding, where applicable, the license required under the Building Act (R.S.Q., c. B-1.1), will be considered.

Tenderers are responsible for the choice of subcontractors, both in terms of their solvency and the content of their bids.

The Owner does not undertake to accept any bids received.
