Description
The district of Peine would like to desilt two ponds as part of the implementation of measures for the FFH area no. 414 'Great crested newt biotope Plockhorst' to preserve and improve the habitat of the great crested newt. The Lower Nature Conservation Authority of the district of Peine would like you to submit an offer for this measure.
The two ponds, pond 5 and pond 12, are located in a wooded area within the FFH area no. 414 "Great crested newt biotope Plockhorst" and landscape conservation area PE013 "Erseaue". The measure involves the partial desludging of the two small groundwater-fed ponds. In order to ensure accessibility to the ponds, parts of the riparian woodland will be removed by another company prior to desilting. The water in the ponds is not to be drained for desilting. Pond 5 is approx. 188 m² (width: approx. 9 m / water depth: approx. 1.5 - 2 m) and pond 12 approx. 239 m² (width: approx. 4 - 8 m / water depth: approx. 0.5 - 1 m). Approx. 60 % of the pond area is to be desilted, the remaining area is to remain untouched. The layer thickness of the loose sediment/sludge layer and the sheep matter load of the sludge have already been determined. The layer thickness of the loose layer in pond 5 is approx. 19.3 ? 41.4 cm (average 26.8 cm) in pond 5 and approx. 11.9 ? 33.6 cm (average 17.3 cm) in pond 12. The total pond area to be desludged is approx. 256 m², which corresponds to approx. 55 m³ of loose soil. The measure is to be carried out as soil-friendly as possible (machines: under 22 t and with biodegradable hydraulic oil). Pond 12 is partially located under a power pole or high-voltage power lines, as well as near a railroad embankment with tracks. Both ponds are accessible via passable forest roads (distance between the ponds: approx. 170 m).
