In the Bavarian State Parliament, a general refurbishment and reorganization \/ restructuring of the entire basement area in the old building of the Maximilianeum with the operating, storage, social rooms and workshops of the old building (Maximilianeum) is taking place. Due to the increased space required for the technical areas and new safety requirements, unused space in the supporting structures under the western access ramps will be opened up, prepared and converted for technical use. Below the second basement level, new room volumes will be created in some areas. These trough structures will be used to accommodate technical equipment\/lines, which will be installed and commissioned in parallel with the existing technology so that the existing technology can then be dismantled. At the same time, access to the building for visitor groups will be optimized, thus improving the security of the Landtag. In the course of creating a new visitor entrance, barrier-free access from the west will also be created. To this end, the west foyer on the first floor of the old building will be gutted, structurally upgraded and prepared for representative and public use.
The MSK measure (MSK2+3) will be carried out in several construction phases depending on the construction logistics and the operation of the state parliament. The existing rooms are structurally and technically very closely interwoven and a close connection of the two partial construction measures (MSK2+3) is therefore mandatory. When carrying out these and the respective relocations, particular care must be taken to ensure that the operation of the Landtag is maintained during the construction work. Construction site management and scheduling must be coordinated accordingly with the general operation of the Landtag. Several temporary administrative, storage, workshop and archive facilities are required for the operation of the Landtag. The operation of the restaurant in the basement must also be maintained during the entire construction period, including any disposal requirements. Access to the kitchen storage areas must be guaranteed despite the temporary arrangements. Noise-intensive work must not be carried out during the plenary sessions of Parliament.
Fire protection must also be guaranteed during construction and in all construction phases.

Due to the early termination of the contract with the previous HVAC planner, not all service phases were fully completed and must now be reviewed, revised and completed as part of the new contract.
