Description
Over the past few years, as part of the SCOOP, C-Roads France, InterCor and InDiD European C-ITS projects, the Ministry has been testing a number of on-board units in the operating vehicles of road managers, with the aim of signalling the presence and activities carried out by operatives on the roads, for road safety purposes, particularly for operatives working on the network. During the course of these projects, a national application was also developed to represent the applicative part of the system, in order to best match the operating agents' professions;
The Ministry is now planning widespread deployment of these UEVg on its entire fleet of intervention and maintenance vans, and even on other vehicles likely to stop on the network, as part of the SCALE project, currently being analyzed by the European Commission.
