Germany - DB InfraGO AG is planning to build the important freight corridor on route 23

Description

DB InfraGO AG intends to equip the important freight corridor between Mülheim (Ruhr) and Niederlahnstein with modern control and safety technology. For this purpose, the project ESTW Solingen 2nd construction stage was divided into two sections: Construction stage 2a and 2b. The contract tendered here relates to construction stage 2a. This comprises the renewal of the signal boxes at Ratingen West station, Ratingen Ost station, Düsseldorf-Rath station and Hardt interchange and concerns lines 2324, 2400, 2420 and 2421.
The investment sum for this overall project is estimated at around EUR 88 million. Around EUR 8 million of this has already been settled via an existing contract. The new insurance contract tendered here will replace the existing contract. The currently planned construction period is expected to last until 31.03.2028. The insurance contract will commence after the end of the tendering process on the date of the contract award, following a currently existing advance cover.
(Type L-EU) In the liability insurance, the sum insured per claim is EUR 25,000,000 lump sum for personal injury, property damage and financial loss, including benefits from
financial losses, including benefits from environmental liability insurance. The planning liability insurance provides a
separate lump sum cover of EUR 10,000,000 per claim for property damage and financial loss. The above-mentioned sums are maximized threefold. The extended maintenance in the construction and installation insurance section is 42 months. The extended liability is 10 years for liability insurance and 5 years for environmental liability and environmental damage insurance. The general deductible is at least EUR 25,000. The deductible does not apply to personal injury. In the case of extended planning cover, the deductible is EUR 100,000.
